Australia sending additional soldiers to East Timor

Australia is sending additional police officers and soldiers to East Timor following an assassination attempt on the country’s president Jose Ramos-Horta and prime minister.Mr Ramos-Horta remains in a serious but stable condition.”Our country is right now in an extraordinary situation where a state of emergency will bring us back to normality,I ask for your help.” said Mr Gutterres in a televised address.
