Hispanic women at risk of breast cancer gene-study

U.S. researchers shows genetic mutation of the BRCA1 gene appears to link Hispanic, young African-American and Ashkenazi Jewish women who have breast cancer.The study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, looked at more than 3,000 cancer patients in the United States diagnosed before age 65 between 1996 and 2005.

Children’s Health Bill Vetoed

“Because the Congress has chosen to send me a bill that moves our health care system in the wrong direction, I must veto it,” said President Bush in his veto statement.As he had promised to do, President Bush vetoed the the children’s health insurance bill today.
