Google to build submarine cable

Google Inc said in a joint statement with five telecoms operators,Bharti Airtel, Global Transit, KDDI Corp, Pacnet, and Singapore Telecommunications that they had agreed to build an undersea cable that will link the United States to Japan, and provide the capacity to sustain a surge in Internet traffic between the continents.NEC Corporation and Tyco Telecommunications to construct and install the system.
