Microsoft Office Live Workspace in beta

Microsoft has announced the release of its Microsoft Office Live Workspace,a free service that is aimed at individual users and small businesses in beta. “Today’s announcement moves us further down the path of bringing a software plus services experience to people at home, work and school,by combining the rich client experience of Microsoft Office with flexible, intuitive service offerings, we’re providing seamless computing experiences for our 500 million Office users worldwide” stated Stephen Elop, president of the Microsoft business division.Microsoft also said that it is running a sweepstakes with a US$100,000 grand prize for U.S. beta testers of the Web-based document storage and collaboration offering.Microsoft plans to give out a total of 30,000 prizes between now and May 11.
